With the recent shooting in Charlottesville, reported by our partner NBC 29, we thought it helpful to show where the shootings have occurred this year in the city. The two crime maps above provide different representations of the recent shootings in Charlottesville.

The second crime map is a heat map of the shootings where color represents intensity or concentration of shooting activity. Bright yellow indicates the highest concentration.
